France 2012!

Referring back to our last post, the weather was not as good as last year and we do not have tans. However it did not ruin our week one little bit!

The drive down was not too terrible apart from when our coach didn't actually reach Dover in time to catch our Ferry. 5 hours of uncomfortable sleeping later, our bus finally decided to move... only to stop 10 metres later. Our coach driver was a fabulous old man version of us and kept pretending that our coach was a plane. Hilarious. Another 7 hours later and we were finally at our campsite where we would live for the next week. The seven days would consist of sampling fine French cuisine, visiting historical landmarks, experiencing French culture and a fun filled trip to Disneyland. By this we actually mean; visiting a French market but buying chips, laughing at a naked statue of Leonardo Da Vinci, wondering around the beautiful village of Amboise and watching our friend buy a 49 euro ceramic duck and..... a fun filled trip to Disneyland!

A social gathering in the sun!

Ok guys. This may surprise you but tonight we played host at our own 'social gathering'. We invited a few of our friends around to gather at Emma's house for some socialising with some tasty food. When the pizzas, ice-cream and sweets were gone we attempted to toast marshmallows however we only had six tealights to do it. Due to Emma's phobia of fire, kay was not allowed to light the matches. (much to her displeasure) The marshmallows were delicious despite them actually being on fire most of the time.

So time passed by and pretty soon we all ended up with strawberry marshmallow fluff whiskers drawn on our face and quite a bit in our hair. After we all retreated to the decking, we and enjoyed some top entertainment provided by Joe. Tonight was rather spontanious however turned out to be a very Kay and Emma affair!

This will be our last post for the next week or so as on Friday we take a luxury 22 hour coach trip, first down to Dover then a ferry over to Calis before a final 6 hour coach trip to the Loire Valley where we will camp for a whole seven days. We hope the weather will be as good as last year and that all the rides in Disney Land Paris will be open! We'll be back soon, hopefully with a tan!

An average Saturday..

Today started as any normal Saturday does. A rushed wake up was necessary as we were at dancing at 10. Needless to say, we looked like zombies. After a ...'fun' 3 hours, we went our seperate ways, scrubbed up and planned to go to town. However, things did not go to plan. Instead of going to town we spent the afternoon at Kay's house being generally hilarious.With numerous cups of tea,Kay playing guitar and wishing she was Taylor Swift (she only cried once, things are looking up for her) and fine Italian cuisine- pizza from Aldi. Once we had a taste for Aldi we ventured into the cold Wardley air to supress our cravings! We bought a varied mixture of products such as pinapple juice, fizzys, pink lemondade,jaffa cakes, a mango and some grapes. On return we saw a pair of paticularlly adorable westies (which we love). The sighting of the westies led to us chasing them, ending with disastorus consquences. RIP Emmas Ipod which was smashed as a result of the great westie chase of 2012.

Nandos surprise.

Today was our friend Jodie's 15th birthday surprise party. Six of us decided to hide in nandos without her knowing and surprise her when she came- we are aware this is the normal way that a surprise party is to function..its all about the element of surprise. We bought her a huge american flag Johnnie's cupcake and we all had a slice after some tasty chicken. It was a cute night, and particticularly wild for a FRIDAY!

What I love

There are so many things I absolutely love, and you may find them a tad strange when I tell you! So firstly I am completely obsessed and in love with Taylor Swift, she is one of the most wonderful and beautiful people in the world, oh I also love country music, wahoo! I seriously love cats and sloths, there so freakin cute! Me and Em have decided to buy a cat and call in either Monsieur Pussy, Monsieur Chat or Fatso! I basically love anything cute or sweet so baking, tea, snow, sunny days, my guitar, flowery things and quilts! Kay x

So after a long day at Festival for stars with Kay and the rest of Starlight, i came home to these babies! I thought i would share them with you all to spread the joy that they bring.

FESTIVAL FOR STARS!

So me and em go to dancing on a Saturday! Today was our competition, we are through to the regional final with to dances/songs! Hallelujah and skid row! As they say me and Em are quite the performers ourselves.....haha we are all brilliant at sarcasm! Kay x

Soft drinks can be fun!

Neither me nor kay are exactly crazy party animals and we dont really do social gatherings. So tonight kay cae around to my house and we laughed at pictures of funny animals and watched cute things exploding on youtube (if you havent seen it, you should..its hilar) and my mam bought us these crazy treats. Her exact words were 'Soft drinks can be fun too!' All in all, my Friday was a pretty good one!:)

I recently bought two new cushions for my bedroom! I love anything cute and these were the perfect accessory for my room. The patchwork print and the bird print match perfectly with my vintage inspired bedroom! Kay x

Mini blueberry pancakes!

So when I'm feeling bored I decide to bake! For Christmas my sister got me a whoopie pie maker and I came up with the idea of using it to make mini pancakes! So here's my tasty recipe:

Put flour, oats and flaked almonds in a jug. Add in Demerara sugar followed by an egg and some milk.finally add the blueberries. Mix to a batter. Pour the mix into the whoopie pie maker and bake. After about 8 minutes, flip the pancakes over. Once golden on each side, tuck in!
